BOOK YOUR TRAVEL
September 30th - Arrive in Bangkok
We strongly recommend you arrive in Bangkok no later than September 30th (at least one day prior or more to the start of the retreat), so that travel delays do not cause you to miss our flight to Bhutan or the start of the retreat.
October 1st - Meet at Bangkok Airport
The retreat begins at the Druk Air counter in the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, where we meet to catch our flight to Paro, Bhutan. We will travel on the same flight as a group, which can be booked through Euphoria retreats when you reserve your trip.
October 1st-11th - Bhutan Yoga Retreat
All internal travel and transfers will be organized by our trusted guide, who will meet the group upon arrival at Paro Airport. Sit back, de-stress, and soak up the gorgeous scenery and cultural journey.
October 11thth - Farewell Bhutan. Fly to Bangkok
After the retreat, we will be transported back to Paro Airport to catch our flight from Paro to the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. Arrange your onward travel from Bangkok.
Bangkok - Pre/Post Retreat Travel
If you arrive in Bangkok on September 30th and wish to stay at an airport hotel walkable to the Druk Air check-in counter, we recommend The Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel. It is a 5-minute covered walk from the hotel to the airport. Book your stay ASAP as prices will increase as your travel dates draw near.

Weather
It’s quite pleasant weather in Bhutan. September temperatures will be in the 70’s to the low 80’s during the day, and the 50’s at night. See Bhutan-Weather.com for an up-to-date forecast before you leave for your trip.
Money/Cash/Credit Cards
At the airport and in towns you can obtain local currency with an ATM bank card. In some stores, you can use a credit card, but in most you cannot. We suggest taking out $300 - $1000 for arts, crafts, souvenirs, tips, cafes, etc. You can always change more along the way.
Wifi & Cell Service
Wifi is available at each hotel. f you bring universal travel adaptor that will be easy for anything to recharge.
Food & Dietary Options
Bhutanese cuisine is simple and healthy, built around grains and vegetables. Vegetarian, vegan, seafood, and meat options all available.
Our hotel nights are set, but all else on the itinerary is subject to change according to weather, spontaneous opportunities that arise, and the natural flux and flow that comes with travel! We do our best to follow our itinerary – and hope you will be flexible (and happy!) alongside us if our itinerary changes!
Yoga Props
You will need to bring your own mat and any props that are essential for your practice. We cannot obtain yoga mats in Bhutan.
Hotel Amenities
Hotels provide bath amenities, hairdryers, and laundry service.
Immunizations & Health
As global travelers, we are used to needing immunizations before traveling to certain regions. For ease of travel, the safety of our travelers and teachers, and our own liability, we do ask that you receive a COVID vaccination, in accordance with the public health authorities in your country of origin.
Tips & Gratuities
We handle the tip of your driver and your guide. If you want to add additional you may. There is no obligation to tip in Bhutan and it’s often included in your hotel charges and some restaurants add a tip, but 10% can be added if you enjoy the service.
Spa Appointments
It is advised to book your optional spa appointments in advance to ensure you receive the times you prefer. Refer to the schedule above to select ideal times that do not conflict with classes and hikes. (Do let the spa know you are retreating with Euphoria in case there are any discounts available).
